Sweet Child Of Mine
I took these pictures of E.J on Monday when the sun was going down, he was as patient as a 12 year old boy could be which means that after 20 min he was over it. I don't see a preteen, I don't see a boy who is going to change over night, I don't see a boy that is already breaking hearts, I see my little boy and I have a feeling that will never change.

On A French Kick!

I am in love with Paris in the 1960's, everything about it, the fashion, the films, the romance BUT ESPECIALLY French Pop music, Francoise Hardy,Mireille Mathieu, Jacques Dutronc, Brigitte Bardot (who put out a french pop album, bless her heart, thank god she is pretty but I guess her not so angelic voice is what gave the album charm) I would have loved Paris in the 60's. I have had Paris on the brain a lot lately.....I think I am due for another Euro trip!

La Familia

My Grandpa and Grandma Aka Abu y Abis Aka Nestor and Carmen. How lucky and blessed I was to have these two people in my life, I am definitely more my Grandma then anyone in my Family, our shoe collection and sense of humor is in our blood, our Latin thick blood, love it or hate it but you will never forget our passion, even in her 80's she was still convinced that every 20 something year old waiter wanted her. My Grandpa was the most amazing Man I ever had the pleasure to meet, elegant and charming with the warmest eyes that live through my Mom, he set the standards high for me, I always wondered the story behind this picture taken on the streets of Mexico City, where they were going, what they were talking about, and who took it. I never got a chance to ask but the important things I know and remember, they are a big part of the reason I am who I am and the reason why I am so proud to be me. My Abu is in the moments I share with the moon and my Abis is in every fabulous shoe I own.

Birthday

My Birthday party was a lot of fun, I am still waiting for the really fabulous pictures but here are a couple to give you and idea. My actual Birthday was on the 17th and I spent the Morning having a Birthday Breakfast with my E.J and after pancakes and giggles he was off to school and I drove to the airport to pick up my best Birthday present that came in the form of a 6'5 Man who arrived baring love and gifts, not to mention non stop laughter and silliness. I can't begin to explain how completely spoiled I was ALL weekend and I mean that in EVERY way. I was a complete princess all weekend, which I struggle with being a single Woman/Mother who's motto is "if you want something done right, ya gotta do it yourself" so for me to just let go and allow this amazing person to pamper me in any and every way was lovely and something I can get use to. I was a bit of a stress case the day of the party but I did warn him ahead of time that I get in this zone when I am preparing for a night like this. "He" was still amazing and wonderful through it and actually helped me out a lot! I am so grateful for my friends and this amazing "him", this was definitely one of my favorite Birthdays :)

32
This was written by
Andy Rooney from CBS 60 Minutes.
Andy Rooney says:
Quote:
As I grow in age, I value women who are over 30 most
of all. Here are just a few reasons why:
A woman over 30 will never wake you in the middle of
the night to ask, "What are you thinking?" She
doesn't care what you think.
If a woman over 30 doesn't want to watch the game, she
doesn't sit around whining about it. She does
something she wants to do. And, it's usually something
more interesting.

A woman over 30 knows herself well enough to be
assured in who she is, what she is, what she wants and
from whom. Few women past the age of 30 give a
hoot what you might think about her or what she's
doing.
Women over 30 are dignified. They seldom have a
screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle
of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve
it, they won't hesitate to shoot you, if they think
they can get away with it.
Older women are generous with praise, often
undeserved. They know what it's like to be
unappreciated.
A woman over 30 has the self-assurance to introduce
you to her women friends. A younger woman with a man
will often ignore even her best friend because she
doesn't trust the guy with other women. Women over 30
couldn't care less if you're attracted to her friends
because she knows her friends won't betray her.
Women get psychic as they age. You never have to
confess your sins to a woman over 30. They always
know.
A woman over 30 looks good wearing bright red
lipstick. This is not true of younger women.
Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 30 is
far sexier than her younger counterpart.
Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell
you right off if you are a jerk or if you are acting
like one! You don't ever have to wonder where you
stand with her.
Yes, we praise women over 30 for a multitude of
reasons.
Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every
stunning, smart, well-coiffed hot woman of 30+, there
is a bald, paunchy 30+ relic in yellow pants making a
fool of himself with some 24-year-old waitress.
Ladies, I apologize.
