Let's Talk About Sex.

Is it still tabu for woman to talk about sex? I sure hope that our friend Samantha Jones was kind enough to ease the people that drop their jaws when the topic comes up. Or what about admitting that you enjoy it. That you love your sexuality. That you think orgasms are pretty awesome. That sex is fun and healthy. Can we talk about that? Well guess what, people... There's women out there who like sex. Better yet, who LOVE it. Deal with it.

Let's have some fun with the topic.

One of the big shocks of the 20th century, was that our nations sex symbol, Marilyn Monroe, claimed she never achieved orgasm by any of her famous lovers (John F. Kennedy, Frank Sinatra, Joe DiMaggio, etc.). It wasn’t until shortly before her death (age 36) she told her psychiatrist, Dr. Ralph Greenson, “Bless you doctor—all the years I had never had one. What wasted years. How can I describe to you, a man, what it feels like to a woman? Think of a light switch with a rheostat control. As you begin to turn it on, the bulb begins to get bright, then brighter, and brighter and finally in a blinding flash is fully lit. It is so good…” Yeah, we know Marilyn!

*Can you believe that Frank didn't give her a big O?!? I mean, I would expect that from a Kennedy but Frank? Damn! I will never be able to hear "Fly me to the moon" without mumbling the words "yeah right."

Not all women can produce the same orgasm results in their men. In fact, it is the more “vocal” women that achieve the desired results on a consistent basis. Studies show that males orgasm 59 percent of the time while their partner is screaming in ecstasy, and only 2 percent of the time while she’s lying quiet, counting gold sprinkles on the ceiling.

*Yes. Who wants a gal that doesn't make it known what she likes and what she wants him to do to this and that. And let's face it, Men like dirty talk. And then be "vocal" about the fact that you wan't him to make you a PB&J, after.

Many women are capable of multiple orgasms. The most female orgasms recorded by doctors, William Hartman and Marilyn Fithian, were 134 within a single hour. That is a little over two orgasms per minute. Interestingly, it has also been noted that some women are capable of multiple orgasms even during such seemingly mundane activities as stroking their eyebrow, rubbing their knee, thinking (about an orgasm), or brushing their teeth.

*I would be in the hospital after 134. Are you kidding? A standing ovation to that hussy. Way to go, sister. But I will say, the older I'm getting the more they come and they get easier to achieve. Practice makes perfect.

According to a survey, around 43 percent of women in the US have some sort of problem with their sex lives. About 1 out of 3 woman can't climax.

*Let's have a moment of silence for that poor poor woman..............

Alrighty. A woman's ability to reach orgasm is very dependent on her state of mind, how comfortable she feels about her body, how relaxed she is and her partner.

Why do women that enjoy sex get labeled as a whore, or easy? Why is it ok for men to be excepted for their sexual needs but women get a demeaning nickname to depress her sexuality. Some of us woman enjoy it, LOVE it, just as much as the men....sometimes even more. Deal with it.

  2. Oh Lordy. I'm in the midwest close to the "bible belt" of Missouri. Conservative region of the nation. Sex talk is never talked about and God forbid you should even bring it up. Talking about boners, the big "O", or even problems in the bedroom are to be between you and your therapist. Having a filter from your brain to your mouth is what we Missourians were raised to have. It's frustrating to say the least and not quite sure why it is still tabu to talk about sex. Not really even sure how to break the ice with women either. Suggestions are welcome.

  3. First of, I think the word boner is AWESOME and one of the best words ever invented. My best friend and I just had a conversation on the phone and we touched a little more on the topic. I think suppression leads to perversion, not to mention a lot of confusion with something that is so natural and ok to enjoy.

I too live in a state where kids get married right after their mormon mission to their high school sweetheart and they start having babies and sex is just for procreation and GOD forbid it should be enjoyed or spoken about. I have dated men that were at one point mormon and are no longer and they still deal with the guilt of having sex due to all the years they have been told how bad and naughty it is. Yeah, it's hella naughty, that's what's awesome about it.

How about having a healthy and educated mind about it? There's a thought. It's human nature. It's natural. It's ok!

You said " Not really even sure how to break the ice with women either"- are you a male trying to break the ice with a woman or a woman trying to break the ice with another woman? HA! Then I might be able to give you some good advice :)

  4. TO answer your question, I would be commiting a woman on woman crime here. Muuhaahahaha.

Healthy educated conversations are hard to come by in your 30's. Or so it seems.

  5. Haaa! Now this is getting juicy. I like where this is going. Well, if she's into committing the crime, you'll know.

You really think it's hard to come by in your 30's? I think that when we start to feel more open about it all.

Hey, you will have to let me know how that goes. The perv in me is asking ;)

  8. Hells yeah, for me it seems as though the 30's are harder to come by for good conversation. Unlike my 20's, people now seem more uptight and preoccupied with their personal life (family, career, or caught up in not having one). The stress seems to have gotten to the 30's crowd. Maybe that's why sex is tabou? Seems as though sex was an easy topic for conversation growing up in our teens and 20's.
