Voodoo Darlings Present: Ghouls! Ghouls! Ghouls!

It's that time again, folks. The Voodoo Darlings in putting on another Halloween show this Friday. I rehearsed tonight on stage and I can't ever put into words how much I love the stage. I lover performing, Period.

I'm so proud to be apart of this troop. We live in Salt Lake, and there is just not enough things like this. The fact that we can put something together like this, and put on a show with such talented singers, dancer, personalities to a sold out theater, is pretty damn cool. Our shows just keep getting better and better. It's exciting.

Voodoo Darlings Present: Ghouls! Ghouls! Ghouls!

The Voodoo Darlings show last Friday was one of my favorite shows so far. I'm so proud to be apart of this group. These people I get to work with are so talented and fun. I'm also so proud to entertain this little city of ours. I feel that there are not enough things like this going on. We sold out. We usually do, which proves that people dig this.

Jen (the voodoo darlings creator) assign me the comedic number of the show. My number was to Ghostbuster. I came in from the back of the theater, spot light on me, as the Ghostbusters theme song starting playing. I had my 3 ghost in the audience. I then was running through the theater trying to Ghost Bust (if you will), I pulled my 3 ghost on stage. Realized my Ghost blasting gun was no good. I then realized that my power came in the form of a strip tease. I did this number completely unrehearsed. I killed it. It was awesome, I had too much fun! I live for this shit.

When it was over, and we were all on stage, bowing, we were each handed a flower. At that point everyone from the audience was free to come up and take pictures. I took a couple with my fellow Darlings. I then slipped away from the crowed. Got my bag. Put on my vintage sequence jacket. Grabbed my curtain call flowers. Walked out, under the radar. Fulfilled. Proud. Alone. And okay.

The Voodoo Darlings

Tonight, I performed with my lovely girls, The Voodoo Darlings.  What a great show tonight, to a SOLD OUT theater. Yeah, nerves galore and thrills up the WaaZoo. A lot of these girls are new to the group and I have never performed with them. It was such a pleasure to meet the new addition to our troop, and sad that some of our regular and originals dolls couldn't make it. It was one of our best shows yet. I'm so proud to say that I'm a part of this group, full of talented, beautiful girls. It's so cool to know that we bring something unique and entertaining to Salt Lake. We can hold our own. We bring it. WE NEED IT!

A snapped a pic during intermission. Yeah, this crowd was awesome and loud and generous with excitement. I very rarely rehears my numbers. I'm kinda ballsy and go out there and wing it (kinda like my life) but this time the nerves rapped me up in their nauseating anxious arms and after I performed,  I got a little sick. Sick in the WaaZoo. But what a rush. I can't explain it. I was meant for this stuff. I love it so much. Before the show, I got a gorgeous flower arrangement delivered to me as I was getting ready, from a boy. Woot Woot (Thank you, you).

I will post more pics when they are released, and I believe someone filmed my number. We will see if it's worthy enough to be shown or not. I got to go sleepy because I have to get up early and report for duty for a photoshoop for my new blog banner. It's going to be GOOD! Can't wait to see Zuzanna and her team of hair and make-up people she's got working on this project for me. I'm very lucky to be a part of ALL of this. Truly lucky!

Great weekend so far.
Very pleased and happy!

Voodoo Darlings - CIRQUE L'AMOUR

It's that time of year again, folks. The Voodoo Darlings are going to the rock the house. Not only one night BUT two nights. We love you all that much.

For all you local Salt Lakers, get your tickets HERE. It's a really fun event full of something that our little sheltered town needs. SLC really has been starving for some kind of Las Vegasy and sassy stuff. This is always my favorite time of year.

This was from our Halloween show.
Enjoy and what not...

Voodoo Darlings Shenanigans

*Sunday rehearsals are always a little like this.

Sundance has come to a close, one good week was enough for me, between that, Vegas, a sleep over with 12 year olds over the weekend, basketball games, Voodoo Darling rehearsals, I'm beat, and this week shows no signs of having mercy one me...it's nice to have evidence that I have a teency-weency, itty-bitty, little bit of fun (all the time)

The Voodoo Darlings

It's about that time to start rehearsals for our big show, what will I sing this year? what will my solo dance song be? OH MY......
I was born to perform, some of us just have that in our blood, I can't imagine if I didn't have this in my life, I would have to break out in song and dance in random places...oh wait, I do that! I am so lucky that I get to work with such talented, fun, beautiful girls who love and own their sexuality, we are all free birds. I love these girls.

Last year I did "Fever"

The year before that I did "Baby get lost" By Billie Holiday

Miss Gigi De Ville Rehearsal #1

The first Voodoo Darlings rehearsal for the February 20th show took place tonight, I captured the my first attempt to this song which I rehearsed with Danny (an amazing singer and one of Salt Lakes most talented theater actors) it will start out with me singing the first part then it will continue on with him as I do a little dance/strip tease (after all, she is a tramp) this was the first attempt and as you can tell it's a little rough and silly, so go easy on us, I am so excited for this "Rat Pack" theme show this year, we are kinda a big deal here and we always have such a great time. I am sure I will be posting more as the month of rehearsals continue.
